'94 vs. '97 4.6L Tbird

97 has lower 3.27 gears and better intake good for 15 ft lbs of torque. Of course there's a difference off the line. 97 beats 94 to 90 mph by 3-4 length difference every single time. The 94 after a few things ran a 15.5@ 90.5, 97 will run that, probably a little better.

The intake manifold design changed from aluminum to composite The best thing about 96-7 is the optional sport package. Got SC springs, better anti roll than stock (but same as 94-5 V8) bigger brakes and 16" wheels.

The hood on the '96 and up has a cool bulge to handle the different intake. From a roll, the cars are a little closer, like 50-100 maybe 2 lengths in the 97.
