How To Post Images on TCCoA's Forums

Your picture must be online for others to view. We recommend that you use TCCoA's free 10 MB webpage account to store your pictures online. GeoCities/Yahoo is NOT a recommended location to store your pictures online if you wish to post them here, as they no longer offer remote linking in their basic account. If you do not have a TCCoA webpage account, CLICK HERE and sign up. If you already have an account and your picture is online, skip to step 7.

1) Once you have created your free TCCoA webpage account, click on the "go" button next to the Base Directory option in the menu, to enter the File Manager and begin to upload your picture.

2) Scroll down to the File uploads section. Click on the "Browse" button (Figure 2A) to open a window containing the contents of your computer. Locate your picture on your PC (Figure 2B) and then click on the "Open" button (Figure 2C).

3) Click on the "Upload these files" button as shown in Figure 3.

4) Once uploaded, return to the File Manager by clicking the "File Manager" link.
Note: Currently, the TCCoA webpage account script has an issue with some types of JPG files. If you receive an error message that the picture you've uploaded appears to be an invalid JPG, try using your photo imaging program, such as Photo Shop, to resave the image. If this does not work, or you have problems, send me an email or Private Message and I will upload the picture into your directory bypassing the script.

5) Find the picture that you wish to post, and right-click on the title. You'll then get a window. Choose "copy shortcut" option as shown in Figure 4. Doing so will copy the path (URL) of the image to your clipboard so you can paste it in Step 8.

6) Return to the TCCoA Forums to post your picture.

7) In the vB Code section of the post (above the message box), click on the "IMG" button as shown in Figure 5.

8) Right-click in the box field and select the "paste" option from the menu and click on the "ok" button. The code will then automatically be placed in the message box.
