All of you with '94& up automatic trannies have their O/D Light off when starting a car. Therefore you have to disengage the O/D by pressing a button on the handle (light on) and keep drivin with the damn O/D light on while driving around in the city. Ford recommends running it without the lockout on. That just gets some people mad. So here is the resolution for that.
But Maybe, Just MAYBE, if you cut the wire (pink and orange) coming off pin 1 from the EEC (circuit 315) and place a toggle switch in line it would hold the trans out of Over Drive. To test you could punch pin 6 out of the connector that goes into the transmission, (same wire other end). Put some tape on the wire and take the car for a drive.
