Windshield Wipers Removal

The arm mounts is mounted to a geared post on a narrow diameter shaft. There is spring-loaded locking lever that holds the arm on the post by closing over a small portion of the outside edge of the post on the backside. The arm will pull off, away from the windshield, when the locking lever is pulled back.

There's a little lever on the top side of the arm that forms a right angle to the windshield...near the base of the arm where it mounts to the rotating shaft. It slides out a little (toward the roofline). In any case, there will be a tab than can be pried away from the wiper arm (i.e. toward the sky) with a screw driver. It usually doesn't have to be pried out very far.

The arm "should" pull straight up. The resistance you will likely encounter will not be due to the locking mechanism, but due to the wiper arm simply being "stuck" onto the post. It takes some firm "wiggling."
