Clear Corners & Tinted Tails |

Q: Where did you get the clear corner lights?
A: NOPI sells clearouts only for '96-'97 models, but they don't match older rides cause they are made from an european-style safety glass just like newer haedlites and older floats use composite plastic material.
But there is a few ways to customize them:
1. One way to do it is to use your stock OEM Ford signals. Just crack off the outer amber reflective shell of the signal. I believe this method works on the 89' thru 93', not sure about the 94-95s.
There is another plastic piece still behind the outer amber piece, so when the amber piece is cracked off, the lamp still has a clear plastic protecting it from the elements.
2. Another way is to go to your local junk yards and get some early 90's merc sable corners that are clear from factory. Get yourself a dremel tool w/acutting wheel. With a steady hand carve out the amber portion of your corner lite and use that as a template. Lay it on the larger clear merc lens and trace it out then cut. Use clear silicone to apply your new lens to your housing. Let dry and install.
Q: How and with what did you tint your taillights?
A: You can purchase a spray tint at a local store or from Summit
Racing. The tint can be removed at any time with rubbing alcohol or
paint thinner. I heard of 2 different ones. One is called a "Clear Transparent
Black Window Tint" made by MODEL MASTER #2949. Other is called "Nite-Shades
Lens Black Out" made by VHT #SP999. They go for around $6.99.
