Bad Starter Recognition

How do you know if your starter is going bad?

If you can't start a car after you have run it for a while - That's it....it's the starter. Usually when they start to go bad they do so by seizing up when they get hot from the engine heat. Then they just barely begin to crank, pause and then they run.

So what you do now? hmmm...you go and get yourself a brand new one from a Motorcraft. If you are thinking about getting one of those generic, rebuilt ones - forget about it because if you do you will be changing it at every other oil change or so.
