Roller Rockers-freeing up the HP |
How do you free up the horse power with the performance roller rockers?
This has to do with roller needle bearings being placed in the sides of the Rocker arms and also a roller on the tip of the rocker arm. Theory is, reduced friction reduces the parasitic friction losses in the valve train and engine freeing up "free" HP. The Roller Rockers also are frequently made from cast aluminum which is lighter than the steel counterpart OEM and will have less deflection under load allowing a more precise valve action.
