Three things to be aware of when buying them:
- All 4.6 pistons are custom or are considered custom made items;
thus are usually more expensive, but if you want some things customized then no big deal since there already custom priced.
- Pay attention to weather they are considered offset pistons or not offset. Most people don't know until they start it up after
the re-build and wonder how that bee got in the tin can. (piston slap)
- Lightning pistons are forged and are in the same Bore size.
I have found www.need-for-speed.com and houstonperformance both sell
forged pistons and rods.
